Leaving the City Behind?

The day finally came and we were able to move out of the city but not able to leave it behind. Now we drive back to the city each day for work, but at night we can hear the crickets and frogs instead of the city traffic and sirens. We can actually see the moon and stars instead of the city lights. The Fireflies are a site to see in the spring.

On our Hobby Farm we grow many kinds of herbs, fruits and vegetables without any pesticides or harmful herbicides. Our chickens provide year round eggs. We tried the goats and loved them so much we could never use them for food. We freeze, can and dehydrate the excess fruits and vegetables.

Growing Lavender for beauty and herbal use.
Growing strawberries because they taste good.

This is the entrance into our herbal garden. We use the weed control covering and the wood chips to help control the weeds. We love gardening but not spending all our time getting the grass out.
